Is it bread or is it cake? I was looking for a healthy way to incorporate fresh peaches into some kind of summertime dessert. I came upon this recipe in a "cookbook for the 90's", when "low fat" cooking was all the rage. If you appreciate the old-fashioned flavor of gingerbread you will simply love this cake. In RecipesI saw this recipe in a flyer from the grocery store and it looked like a good summer side salad. I'm pretty picky about my potato salad and I don't usually eat it unless it's my mom's recipe (from my German grandmother). In RecipesI have liked sauerkraut on my bratwurst ever since I was a kid going to baseball games with my family. I've never thought of it as being "good for you", but supposedly it has several health benefits. Basically, sauerkraut is just shredded cabbage that has been fermented. In RecipesI like starting my day with a generous serving of protein and I often have a green smoothie with a scoop of protein powder added to it for breakfast. Unfortunately, I seem to be hungry again within an hour or two after drinking it. Thats where this overnight protein oatmeal comes in!
