iOS APP TIPS
- Hold Hamburger (
) to move position on My Timers list - Swipe left on the title of the program, well left of the hamburger (
) to delete - When setting up programs, swipe left on the individual intervals to delete
- When setting up programs, press and hold an interval in setup to duplicate it
- Setting rounds to "0" will count up the # rounds completed
- Save your programs across devices - Turn on Automatic Backup in settings to save programs to your iCloud Drive
- Copy an entire program - open the program, change the name of the program, then click Save
- On active program screen, you can move the rounds box around and also pinch fingers together or apart to make it bigger or smaller

How to Delete a Saved Program
- To delete any saved timer program, including those that came with the app – From the My Timers screen, place your finger on the title of the program, being sure not to touch the little hamburger icon (
) and swipe to the left. Please note you cannot delete the Stopwatch.
How to setup a new workout program
- Click the green ADD TIMER button from the My Timers screen. This takes you to the setup screen.
- Type in a name for the program at the top.
- Choose an End of Workout Sound –
- If you choose No Sound it will play whatever alarm type selected in the last interval in the program.
- If you have 0 or 1 rounds selected for the program, the End of Workout Sound will be grayed out and inactive and the program will play whatever alarm type selected in the last interval in the program.
- Next, if you wish to have a preparation countdown to get yourself in position before the program starts, click the Countdown interval line and it will open up. Choose the time desired, then choose a color for the background, then click the green SAVE button to save it.
- To add your intervals, click the green + ADD NEW INTERVAL button to add each interval.
- Name your intervals if you wish, example - Burpees (this will appear on the screen when the program is running)
- Next choose the interval duration
- Choose a color for the background
- Choose alarm type
- Click the green SAVE button to add the interval
- Repeat these steps for each interval you desire. NOTE - once you have an interval made, if you wish to duplicate it press and hold the interval in the middle of the interval and "Duplicate" will pop up. Clicking that will duplicate that interval, then you can edit it as you wish.
- When all your interval are entered, click the green Rounds box near the top of the setup screen to open it up and choose the number of rounds desired. NOTE - setting the rounds to 0 (zero) will make the timer count UP the number of rounds until you stop the timer yourself.
- Click the SAVE button at the top to save the program. Or you can hit the START button to go right to the workout. After you have completed your workout hit the exit button (X) in the top left corner and this will take you back to the setup screen. Hit the exit button (X) on this screen you will be asked if you want to save the program or not.
OPTIONS IN THE SETTINGS
Additional Features
- Remove Ads – This removes the scrolling ads from the active timing screen only. This will not remove the gymboss banner at the top of the my timers page.
- Additional sounds and colors combo – Want to customize Gymboss even more? Add infinite color wheel option and 30 more sounds.
Prevents Sleep – Keeps the actively running timing program displayed for the entire workout.
Social Sharing – Share with your friends on Facebook and Twitter upon completing of workout. Turn this off if you do not want to share or want to stop seeing the Upgrade message.
Automatic Backup – Automatic backup to iCloud Drive. If turned on this will allow you to save your programs, so if you get a new phone, all of your saved programs will transfer.
Alarm Bar – Sets the maximum allowed volume. For full control on the fly, we recommend setting the alarm volume all the way up in Settings and then using the buttons on the side of the phone to turn the volume up or down during activity.
Stopwatch
- Show Hundredths – Ability to show hundredths of a second or not.
Preparation Countdown
- 3 Second Warning – When setting up a program you can set a countdown to allow you to get in position before the workout starts. The 3 second warning here gives you the option to have an audible warning for the last 3 seconds of the countdown only before the first interval starts.
End of Interval Warning
- 3 Second Warning – Gives you the option to select a 3 second audible warning before each interval ends.
- Vibrate – Gives you the option to select a vibrate alarm for 3 seconds as each interval ends.
- Visual Cue - Gives you the option to select a flashing light for 3 seconds as each interval ends.
- Moving Background – Gives you the option to have the background color fall from to bottom in relation to the time remaining. This allows for easy visual recognition of how much time is remaining in the interval. Also, turning this on activates a pointer along the right side, which indicates total workout program progress.
Music
NOTE - The music controls within the app only work with playlists of music that are comprised of music that is downloaded on your phone, such as iTunes. It will not work with streaming music apps of any sort. You can simply use your streaming service app to play your music and the Gymboss app alarms will still be audible over the music.
• Using the music from within the app has the benefit of auto-dimming the music for each alarm, and when your programs ends the music ends as well. If you do not change playlists much during your workouts, we recommend using the music controls from within the Gymboss app.
